The “Development and Innovation Training Center” association invites school children from Ogre region aged 8 to 13 to apply for the week of creative workshops “Journey in the world of technology”, which will be held at Ogre Technical University from July 17 to July 21, 2023, every day from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. During the workshops, children’s technical knowledge in robotics, construction, programming, physics and modeling will be improved. At the end of the workshops, everyone will be able to familiarize themselves with the basic elements of robotics in the open robotics workshop.
Thanks to the support of the municipality of Ogre region, this summer 20 school children will have the opportunity to learn LEGO robotics under the guidance of knowledgeable educators, to visit “SMART AERO” in Ogre, and to study how technological knowledge helps us when we are in nature.” LEGO robotics creative workshops previously organized by the association in the summer (https://www.aimc.lv/2019/08/ogres-novada-berni-konstrue-lego-robotus/) and the implemented project – Technical innovation camp “We will be engineers” (https://busiminzenieri.wordpress.com/), showed that children are interested in technical creativity – construction and programming, they are also willing to get involved in chemistry and physics lessons.
Participation in the week of creative workshops “Journey in the world of technology” is free for school children. Priority for participation in creative workshops is given to children from large families or other socially disadvantaged groups.
